| Here's some things to try, below, copied from this url: http://forum.runescape.com/forums.ws?25,26,606,63643185 Can you make sure that you've tried the following fixes.
Firstly, you can try updating Java by uninstalling all current versions on your computer and installing the latest one. This can be done by:
1. Go to Start > Computer > Uninstall or change a program 2. Uninstall all versions of Java 3. Remove any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name. 4. Visit the Java website at http://www.java.com 5. Click ‘Free Java Download’ button 6. Install the update 7. Once installed, restart your computer
You can also try clearing your Jagex Cache by following these steps:
1. Computer > C Drive > Users > [INSERT USER HERE] > jagexcache > runescape > LIVE 2. Delete the ‘LIVE’ folder... - Note: Don’t delete the Jagex launcher as this is related to the Client. 3. Also delete the preference files too. 4. Restart your Internet Browser (e.g. Internet explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc). 5. Load RuneScape and continue playing.
Lastly, if you haven't tried it yet, why not use the Official RuneScape Client. To obtain it please follow these steps:
1. Visit http://www.RuneScape.com 2. Hover your mouse pointer over 'Game Info' 3. Select 'Downloads' from the drop down menu 4. Download the RuneScape Client from this new page, ensuring you select the correct download for your appropriate operating system.
