Here's a couple of books I thought you'd like. Especially since we all like runescape.

The Legends of The Dragonrealm Series. - http://www.amazon.com/Legends-Dragonrealm-Richard-A-Knaak/dp/1439107009#_

The Mortal Instrument Series - http://www.amazon.com/Mortal-Instruments-Bones-Ashes-Glass/dp/1442409525/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1361985824&sr=1-2&keywords=City+of+Bones

The famous Eoin Colfer Supernaturalist Series - http://www.amazon.com/Supernaturalist-Eoin-Colfer/dp/078685149X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1361985854&sr=1-1&keywords=supernaturalist

I'll add more when I think of more interesting ones Very Happy

I absolutely love Eoin Colfer, Warrior! I actually met him when he came to my college a few years ago and I have some books signed by him, he also read one of my short stories and gave me tips and advice.

I also suggest reading:

The Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin.
The Last Survivors Trilogy by Susan Beth Pfeffer.
The Uglies Quartet by Scott Westerfield.
Exodus, Zenith and Aurora (all one trilogy) by Julie Bertagna.
The Declaration series by Gemma Malley.

Brilliant idea for a thread btw, I love reading!

PZombie a post about books is never too long, so stop worrying!

I am also happy to say I have read everything you have suggested apart from one - so I back you up 100%! Reading this has also made me realise why I have had to buy boxes to store all my books as I have run out of space in my bedroom. Razz

I would also suggest that after reading the LOTR (and the Hobbit of course) one should read the Silmarillion. It is absolutely fantastic - yet such a shame it was published posthumously by Tolkein's son; as some parts do feel a bit incomplete. It really opened my eyes to how much more Tolkein had created than just the events covered in his other books. He has created a whole history to a world just as extensive as our own.

I've also finished a few books since my last post that I found were worth mentioning - like the Hunger Games, Uglies, Divergent and many others mentioned in this thread they are mostly dystopian fiction (I seem to be drawn to reading more and more of this genre of late).

Anyways, I'm waffling now, here they are:

The Eve Trilogy by Anna Carey.
Legend and Prodigy by Marie Lu. (I feel this story line is unfinished and more will come out in this series soon).
Monsoon by Wilbur Smith. (Prepare yourself for a long read - worth it, though).

Yes indeed, I am very glad I received a kindle for a present a couple of months ago. Already it has saved about 35 books from cluttering up my room even more!
